Suffolk University pollster David Paleologos said Tuesday that hes stopped polling Florida, Virginia and North Carolina because hes already concluded that President Barack Obama will lose those swing states.
In places like North Carolina, Virginia and Florida, weve already painted those red. Were not polling any of those states again. Were focusing on the remaining states, Paleologos told Fox News Bill OReilly.
he remark surprised OReilly.
Thats interesting. Let me stop you there. Youre convinced, your polling agency is convinced that Florida, North Carolina and Virginia are going to go for Romney? OReilly said.
Thats right, and heres why. Before the debate the Suffolk poll had Obama winning 46 to 43 in the head-to-head number, a poor place to be for a couple of reasons, said Paleologos, director of Suffolk University Political Research Center.
He continued: Number one, his ballot test, his head-to-head number was under 47 [percent] before the debate and its very difficult when you have the known quantity, the incumbent, to claw your way up to 50. So that was a very, very poor place for him to be. And so were looking at this polling data not only in Florida but in Virginia and in North Carolina and its overwhelming.
Recent polling since last weeks presidential debate in Denver has shown GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney closing the gap with Obama.

Wow. At least Pat Caddell waited until a week before the vote to tell Jimmy Carter he was toast.
From the pollster’s lips to God’s ears, I guess. As to your thinking on OH and CO, the signs are certainly there for that to come true, too. It sure would be comforting for some stronger evidence to show itself, if only to put the MSM and Obama campaign mouthpieces (oops, repeated myself there...LOL) into tizzies on the various news shows. Last Sunday certainly had some entertaining moments.
” I think Mitt will win Ohio and Colorado. “
Ohio at least. Where is Colorado as of now?
LOL.
Not so sure about Florida. Here in Tallahassee, Obama signs and stickers far outnumber Romney. Dismaying to see, especially in our neighborhood, which is made of up primarily older residents. Michelle Obama was here a few weeks ago at a rally. No real Romney presence around here.
There is no professional justification for such a decision. While I hope he is right, it would be more honest to say, “I’m going to focus on the other swing states and count on my colleagues to spot any change in FL and VA”.
that doesn’t mean didly.. Obama supporters know their cars won’t be keyed like people with Romney stickers know theirs would.. the silent majority will be there on election day
VA Ping!
If you want on/off the VA Ping List, please freepmail me. Thanks!
LOL...thanks!
Bit early. Poll ain’t closed yet.
I’m wondering if this is GOP/Romney directed psy-ops against the dhimmiecrats, trying to push them over the cliff of depression they were standing at the edge of after Obummer’s disasterous first debate, to hopefully discourage them so much that they won’t even bother to vote in those swing states.
Weren’t you doing a US Senate list as well?
Get out and vote like your favourite candidate is losing big time ... like your vote is the one and only vote that matters.
Yes, I was adding it to Political Junkie’s threads, but I can start sticking it into relevant threads now that we’re heading down the homestretch.
