The Guardian (UMartha Raddatz and the faux objectivity of journalistsK) ^ | Friday, October 12, 2012 | Glenn Greenwald

snip... ...she's long em embedded in the DC culture that equates its own ideological desires with neutral facts. As a result, he entire discussion on entitlement programs proceeded within this narrow, highly ideological dubious framework. ...That is what this faux journalistic neutrality, whether by design or otherwise, always achieves. It glorifies highly ideological claims that benefit a narrow elite class (the one that happens to own the largest media outlets which employ these journalists) by allowing that ideology to masquerade as journalistic fact.

The subhead of this article says it all, "Establishment journalists are creatures of a highly ideological world and often cause ideology to masquerade as neutral fact.."

Sometimes we have to go overseas to find journalistic integrity and objectivity.

Raddatz was outrageous in her interrupting of Ryan, cutting him off and changing topics when he was finally allowed to speak. The abortion question was the frosting on the cake.

“Dang. Where is my proofreader when I need them?”

You mean the one who helps you with noun / pronoun agreement?

The only reason I watched the two on one tag team match last night for about 20 minutes was to see if Ryan was going to say to her: are you both going to debate me or put words in my mouth because if you are, I am leaving and you can felate him for real on national TV.

I was gone before the abortion question came up at the end and know the sole reason that was there was to ignite the war on women issue for His Excellency’s appearance next week.

The homely Raddatz is a heroine to Obama’s presstitutes today, so she can add this debate triumph to her resume. She fulfilled her duty, teaming up with Smilin’ Joe to add her 31 interruptions to his 82. It’s amazing that Ryan did as well as he did with the two Democrats tag-teaming him every tine he tried to make a point.

Greenwald has his own unexamined assumptions.. Like many secularists, he cannot factor in that ideology is just a substitute for a religious worldview. Islam is a very worldly religion, and cannot split religious and nonreligious objectives. The secularist thinks that politics is simply a matter of socio-economic objectives. and that every aspect of life can be reduced to the achieving of such objectives. In the end nothing counts but raw power, which becomes their God.

Completely agree. Hence, my tag line.

Still he is much more objective (on this) than most American journalistas.
