I do have a question that needs to get an answer. Why didn’t Romney/Ryan have an answer ready for the Loopholes and Deductions line of attack?
Good question, but I can only wish I knew the answer. They’re going to have to come up with one before the next debate.
Sometimes when your opponent is digging a hole for themselves and don’t realize they are in it deep, the best thing to do is step back and let them keep digging.
Told my wife last night that Joe’s performance last night looked more like a One Last Stand against all Republicans in Washington. He sounded like he had A LOT of pent up anger that he decided to release on Republicans as a whole. Over and over, he attacked CONGRESSMAN Ryan, not VP hopeful Ryan.
And to Ryan’s point, I would have used those attacks as a chance to throw Harry Reid and his Senate under the bus again and again. NO BUDGET FOREVER, Shoved Obamacare through, debt upon debt upon debt, FIRST EVER CREDIT RATING DOWNGRADE.

Agree they need an answer, but also respect they don’t want to get too specific, as the Dems will try to demonize them on item after item.
E.G. Mortgage Deduction - what income level - when etc.
Romney/Ryan want to do this in a bipartisan manner. The Dems don’t want that.
