Yet a congressional source told Fox News that CIA Director David Petraeus, during a briefing with members of the House Intelligence Committee three days after the attack, espoused the view that Benghazi was an out-of-control demonstration prompted by the YouTube video. According to the source, this was "shocking" to some members who were present and saw the same intelligence pointing toward a terrorist attack.

If this is true, Petraeus must be THE source that the administration refers to when it says that's what intelligence was telling them. During Issa's hearing, Ambassador Kennedy also said there was/were intelligence source(s?) that indicated it was the video. He would not say who/what/where about it, though, I'm assuming because it was classified.

So what I'm wondering is.......did everyone and their brother think this was a terrorist attack except Petraeus and the whitehouse went with that one piece because it fit their political agenda.

They will try to hang this on Petraeus. This would have been the plan all along.

Petraeus would have known of the attack within the hour. Embassy communications would have been direct.

Simply put, who is the Congressional source? Someone from the Rosa Brooks side of DoD? The Muslim Staffers Association? One of the 45 resumes? A Keith Ellison staffer?

This is absolute bullsh!t. Petraeus does not abandon his men.

Intelligence didn’t tell them? No, H3ll and 0bama duked it out yesterday and came up with a surrogate.

No way did Petraeus not inform. But who was not at Intelligence briefings? FOR A WEEK? Did Petraeus brief an empty set of chairs?

This situation establishes plausible deniability for 0bama and H3ll, and due to classification and exec privilege, can be hidden from view.

Lt. Col. Andrew Wood, who was formerly the State Dept. Site Security Team (SST) Commander at our Embassy in Libya, stated unequivocally before Issa's committee that he recognized "instantly" upon learning of the attack, what the true nature of the attack at the Consulate was. (I watched the entire hearing, on CSPAN's website, later.) Yet Petraeus was saying days later that Benghazi was an out-of-control demonstration prompted by the YouTube video?

This is almost unbelievable. It would seem to mean that Petraeus is willing to let himself and his people be thrown under the bus. Issa has to pursue this, from Petraeus on down, until someone who won't allow themselves to be sacrificed to save this foul administration is found.
