Ryan wasnt especially bad but he clearly wasn't prepared to handle all Bidens zingers, and it should have been obvious to everyone Biden would be in attack mode. All Bidens attacks were predictable and Ryan should have had been prepared to blow them up in the air.It was hard to tell about Ryan's preparation sometimes, because Biden kept talking over him. But as I said, I don't think this debate matters anyway.

I don't think even the Stalinists tried sell a steaming pile that stinks this bad. However, It may become a sort of weird epitaph on Biden's career: like Hubert Humphries's bizarre campaign theme "the politics of joy" following the apocalyptic 1968 Chicago convention. These autocratic control freaks are nothing if not joyless.

So, Carney’s a psychiatrist now?!/s;)

One thing that is hurting Ryan is that starting in 2010 around that Obama-care debate with Obama, Ryan was promoted as a budget wizard who was sold as being able to talk circles around any Dem (Obama) about fixing the deficit.
I remember Scarbouro saying he DREAMED of Ryan as the VP pick so this race would be a REAL debate about the deficit and spending.
But now the budget wizard is forced to say that he doesn't have to explain how he will keep the candy tax cut promises from becoming deficits because he will trust the congress to figure that out. I wouldn't want to be handed an argument like that to defend as he was.
On the Biden debate, Ryan could have said assertively “Let me finish” if he was confident of his arguments. Palin had a similar problem being restrained by the McCain campaign positions. And Ryan has his own problems. I figured he was not used to debating unlike Biden who is.

Biden looks completely shitfaced, like he and Ted Kennedy were drinking all day long again.

I got through some of the first part.
Ryan was definitely going for likable while Biden was going for attack dog (who would have guessed?)
Biden looked pretty unattractive on that split screen. But his mission was not to be liked.

More like a sign that you need to cut the man’s dose of Prozac down 75%. That was insane. He keeps up that dose and his head might just ‘splode.

I have to believe that some of them, after leaving the podium, go into the mens room, look themselves in the mirror and then throw up.You're assuming they have souls. They don't. It's why they're all on drugs. It numbs the pain of their miserable existence.

They’re cheering, but when you see it you’ll think that was quite artificial. Things didn’t go as they planned either. Biden was an ass, and they’re trying very hard to save face, spin it as a victory. It really wasn’t.

I basically agree with your interpretation, but Biden only calmed down during the final closing arguments. I still think he was making faces non-stop even then, but I may be wrong.
Toward the end, do you remember that one statement Ryan tried to make, and Biden made a weird sound after every single word, causing Ryan to be barely able to get a sentence out, and it was virtually impossible for him to be understood.
I think of all the expense and efforts made to put this debate on, and Biden made it all for nothing. The people in the audience traveled to show up and hear a debate, and instead saw Biden turn the whole program into a farce.

RE :My opinion: This round is a tie, but even if it wasn't, it would not matter much.
One side is complaining, the other cheering. We have seen that before.
Yes, you could say that, but then the implication is that Biden pulled a Romney. He didn't. Another implication might be that the Right is complaining because they think their guy lost. NOPE!
The Left wasn't complaining because Romney caused a commotion and destroyed the effort to hold a debate. Concerning Biden, the Right was. We're talking two entirely different situations here.
The Left got angry because Obama lost. We're getting angry even though we think Ryan won. And furthermore, the polls and the after debate comments by even the DNCp moderators, reveal that we're not the only ones who think Biden made an ass out of himself. They may differ on who they think won, but they are all pretty much convinced Biden acted like a fool. Not many of them think he won either.

Read up on the take women had on Biden’s performance. They hated it. Women are already pealing away from Obama, and this didn’t help one bit.
Woman have a real aversion to men with power who are dismissive and insulting.
There were a number of reports today concerning women and their take on Thursday night’s debate. I’ve been reading on a number of forums, and I’ve run into a number of women stating they have been voting Democrat, but were really offended by Biden’s antics last night.
We’ll see.

What he has to say takes priority over everyone else.

On “Hannity” last night, he was interviewing Dick Cheney. Cheney said that this is the real Joe. People cringed when he showed up for meetings. Brash, impolite, and continuously interrupted everyone.
Hannity thinks he’s manic-depressive, considering how he started the debate and how he ended it.
When I see his behavior during the debate, each time he’s acting like a two-year-old I ask myself, “Do we want this insane creature sitting in the Oval Office with his finger on ‘the button’?” Could you imagine Lincoln or Reagan behaving this way? On Thursday, Ryan was the adult in the room.

Yup. He’s one French fry short of a Happy Meal.
