He was Jewish if I’m not mistaken. His son, Steve, gave me my first full-time job after I graduated from college many moons ago. Prayers for his family and for his soul.

Anyone know the religious affiliation or dis-inclination of the deceased Senator? He was Jewish and, at least at one time (back in the 1970s), reasonably observant. For many years (though I don't know about recently) he was a member of an Orthodox Sephardic synagogue in Philadelphia, where he had his son bar mitzvahed.
