Romney won but not getting crushed.

Obama had to decisively trounce Romney, and all he could manage to do was avoid being stomped on by Romney, partially as a result of Crowley literally throwing herself at Mitt when he brought up Benghazi.

John King on Cnn’s panel just admitted that according to CNN’s “scientific” poll the people polled said Romney won on the questions about who would best handle the economy, healthcare. and taxes. He said that if that translated to the public viewers out there then Romney will win the election.

Hey John King there isn’t enough time to turn many of those numbers around. Especially, 58% believe Romney would do a better job with the economy...stupid.

TheOne looked angry, so angry. He’s going to have to come out more forcefully in the next debate. Chrissy Tingles may call it to racist to notice theOne’s anger, but it was just so palpable.

Perhaps people are ignoring the biased opinions of those in the media and have heard enough empty rhetoric.

The MSM narrative may not be able to prop up Obama any longer.

So, Obama won the debate in the worst possible way to win the debate by winning ugly. It will play to the MSNBC crowd only and the focus remains on his record or lack there of. Not to mention the story is going to be about the debate mod becoming a ref and botching the call. This night shouldn’t change the race all that much.

People tend to focus too much on the process and not the product. The media wants to focus on who “won” the debate. But the whole purpose of the debate is for the candidates to persuade people to vote for them. That is the goal. Not scoring points.

Romney did just fine. I think we will find over the next few days that he persuaded many more half-hearted 0bama supporters to switch their vote to him than 0bama persuaded Romney supporters. And I believe he won over more of the undecideds too.

I just looked at internals. Key was 73% said 0bama did “better than expected.” The crushingly low expectations gave him the “win” from the poll respondents.

Crowley worked hard to make sure Obama came out ahead on initial poll results.

Her dirty work paid off for Obama.

Her retraction (or correction) is small potatoes compared to the impact of her basically saying Mitt was lying in front of 70 million people.

I’m trying to be fair here.

My opinion is that Mitt Romney is a man of accomplishment and he carries himself that way. He knows how to make and has made tough decisions. Most importantly, he knows how to get things done even when he doesn’t get everything he wants. Mostly Romney strikes me as a man who thinks about the larger picture and will lead that way. With that said, is he a little power hungry? Probably. Is he always telling the truth? Probably not.

Obama on the other hand has always struck me as a man in over his head. He talks about ‘taxing the rich’ but, ‘envy’ is not a serious economic policy in my book and if it is, Obama certainly hasn’t convinced me that raising taxes on the rich will do anything but, annoy rich people.

As an Americn, I don’t care about the rich. I don’t even care about the poor (per se). I care about the American economy. Instead of attacking Romney, how about Obama explaining his policy on entitlement spending...those sorts of things.

Obama also strikes me as a man who never really had to do the hard work of life. He’s gotten by with ‘razzle-dazzle from day one, apparently. This Libya thing is a classic example. I’m not sure why but, Obama has just been dancing and weaving ever since the 9/11/12 attacks. I bet some real embarrassing crap went down (more embarrassing than we even know) which is why Obama has been lying the last five weeks.

Romney may not be the answer but, I am certain Obama is not the aNSWER. I’m giving Romney my vote and I’ll assume he knows how to govern unless and until he proves otherwise.

The breakdown of the CBS poll was somewhat similar - huge wins for Romney on the issues vs. Obama. The economy was even better on the CBS poll - 65-34% win for Romney.

Is there a link to those numbers? Or was that just read on air?

I can’t find those details on the CNN site. There are details of the similar poll from the first debate.

I didn't watch the debate. I was busy re-organizing my chess library.

From the reports I have read, it appears that Crowley came prepared to respond to comments about Libya.

As a question for those of you who watched, was the effect of Crowley's interference to relieve Obama from having to either, one, repeat his lie, or, two, admit the truth?

By having Crowley repeat the lie at the debate and then admit the truth after the debate, there seems to be little focus on what Obama did in the debate? Did he purposely allow Crowley's lie to stand? Or did he purposely allow Crowley to defend the indefensible by re-telling the lie that he dare not repeat?

Someone needs to ask Obama, "Did Crowley lie when she said that Romney was "right in the main"? Or was she lying when she defended Obama?

We mustn't underestimate our enemies. This unseemly interference by Crowley in a Presidential debate wasn't an accident. Was it a conspiracy instigated by Obama and his handlers? It doesn't seem far-fetched to me.
