Hey, I voted.
I’m alerting you Freepers to something I heard Gene Countryman say on John Batchelor’s radio program, about an hour ago.
I completely missed this but Gene said Obama called for a ban on assault weapons... He then said he could practically hear the ads being made as he spoke and he could practically hear the stampede beginning in states like Colorado.

He said that automatic weapons are illegal in this country, which isn’t true, but it would be hard to educate the ignorant masses about firearms in that setting. Generally speaking he doesn’t know Mitt from shinola about guns.

Oh come on! You have to have an FFL permit to own an fully automatic weapon. The idea that everyone can own a full automatic M-16 or AK47 is nonsense and you know it! For most people that’s reality, Now go fire up your Uzi or whatever turns you on! I have a close friend who has a permit to have fully automatic weapons and I know that they don’t hand them out to everyone.
