Halperin: Team Obama jumps the binder
HotAir ^ | 10/18/2012 | Ed Morrissey

In my column today at The Fiscal Times, I gave Mark Halperin of Time Magazine a lot of credit for being one of the very few journalists that spoke out about Barack Obama’s lack of a second-term agenda or much substance at all after the debate on Tuesday night. We’ll get back to the column in a moment, but first Halperin extends his analysis today after a 36-hour cycle of Bindergate. Halperin can’t believe that we’re less than three weeks out from the election, and all that seems to concern the Leader of the Free World and his brain trust is the word “binders”:

Halperin’s right — this is what’s wrong with our politics at the moment, but it’s also a deliberate strategy from Team Obama. He can’t run on his record; his record includes a dramatic erosion of median household income during the recovery that started on his watch, as well as the lowest civilian population participation rate for the workforce since 1981. Obama won’t run on his agenda, because he either doesn’t have one (and he certainly hasn’t published one or pushed it at either debate, choosing to attack Romney instead), or because, as Mickey Kaus writes, any honesty about his second-term agenda would cost him the election.

Excellent (and fair) analysis from Halperin. (Two short videos at link.)

Halperin was on Morning Joe today while Mika was venting about the word “binders.” She is astonishingly stupid! Even that haggard mother-from-hell, Cher Bono, tweeted about it to an annoyed Joe, who said “Sonny was the nice one in that relationship”.

Finally, Halperin said acidly: I couldn’t care less about “bindergate.”

I noticed in the debate that Obama really doesn’t have an agenda for the 2nd term. He just tries to NUKE any GOOD IDEA that Mitt comes up with. He is OUT OF IDEAS. Their is no more gas in their gas tank. It’s over and they now it.

All my lib girlfriends on Facebook are parroting the moronic bindergate memo.

I wrote back that if they think Obama’s going to win reelection on a binder remark, they are in big trouble.

We women should never have been given the vote!!

So if I go into Walmart and the “associate” I speak to is a liberal, I ask for three ring binders, he/she will take me to where they have clown suits for women? Crap! I’m never going to get used to this new America.

All Obama has to run on are binders and Big Bird.

At the foreign policy debate, he is going to need more than the transcript, Candy. His lead from behind foreign policy has about as little substance as his domestic policy.

As governor of Mass, Mitt had “Binders full of women” ie. ( applications from women for his cabinet ).

In the white house they just pay the women far less than the men...

“We women should never have been given the vote!!”

Lord help me, but I’m inclined to agree. What’s more is I’m hearing more women say that to me unbidden.

I was at a wedding shower three weekends ago when I was told by a lesbian sister of my best friend that she will no longer participate in all-female softball teams. Too many control freaks and raging estrogen, said she.

She joined a co-ed team and it was nothing but a party.

My wife, life-long D, comes home complaining that the last man in her math department left and was replaced by a female. She said, “It’s already begun. I don’t know what it is about having even a single man around, but the difference it makes is astounding.”

Women are blessed with the ability to suspend logic in order to make their circumstances satisfactory to them. I’m floored by their ability to allow the most egregious of life’s injustices or inconsistences to fade past their apparent care. On the other hand, perhaps that’s linked to their proclivity toward their fixation at times on the least important aspect of any situation as a causis belli.

It’s as if they don’t see any connections between cause and effect. Even the biggest assh*le male can be shamed into admitting they are in the hole they are in because they’ve been busy digging it. At that point, the comedy is in watching their pride get in the way of putting the shovel down.

The obamunists are just desperate to get back some of the women vote they lost after Obama’s weak and unmanly first performance and old Joe’s arrogant, condescending, laugh-like-an-idiot-throughout one.

Romney has binders of women to hire them - Obama HIDES behind women to bail him out of his failures.

If you brought Lewis Carroll back today and showed him the Obama campaign he’d find it too over-the-top for inclusion in Alice in Wonderland.

Not so! Women and men should have the right to vote.

Women are the main reservoir of moral values in a Society. Men and women together take the rough edges off of each other and presto! we become civilized! Well, “presto” may be a slight exaggeration, because after all this time we are still a work in progress, usually.

Obama’s voter power is based on hatred of others, and envy of others. What Obama is not he must oppose. Thus, those who have achieved the American Dream by becoming financially independent of the Federal Welfare Entitlement Plantation are enemy number one.

Rich people, such as Romney who fairly hires women from “[Note book] binders filled with [resumes of well-qualified] women,” is a double threat to Obama because his envy warfare against the rich and his hatred war against women, (read about his opinion of his Mother’s Race in his book about his dreams of his Father), requires Obama to flame and blame without a trace of shame.

As to your “lib girlfriends,” they are doing the best that they can, so be tolerant. They are probably well meaning at heart. Let me explain in this manner:

Liberals are driven by an overwhelming need to help.
Liberals believe that rich people do not need help.
Liberals believe that poor people do need help.
So the sooner the Liberals can make the rich people poor,
The sooner they can help them.

If only Clinton had said “binders full of women” in 1992.
