(Reuters) - When Allen West showed up recently to inaugurate a Republican campaign office in West Palm Beach, a local party official enthusiastically introduced the Florida congressman as "Public Enemy No. 1."
That prompted cheers from supporters of the firebrand Republican, whose provocative partisan rhetoric has made him a hero among conservatives but also a top Democratic target in this year's congressional races.
West faces a tough re-election challenge in one of the country's most closely watched races. His blistering attacks on the Democratic Party and President Barack Obama have proved to be a powerful campaign fundraising tool for West -- and a rallying cry for Democrats.

Close race? Last I saw, the polls had West with a pretty decent lead.
Its as close as the national media pretends Obama has made the presidential race “close.”
They’re so desperate for a win that I don’t pity their mud-slinging and character assassination. That’s why media reports always read like a Democratic Party press release. They’re joined at the hip like Siamese twins.
Its an ugly industry and its showing us its true colors in their classic “hit pieces.” Swaying elections are one of the many things we expect from them and this year is no different.
The truth is “outrageous” to liberals.
What a difference and an improvement to the national psyche if Alan West had been our first BP.
We can only imagine.

Usually, my comments are quite lengthy & wordy!!! Not this time!!! I reside in the West congressional district. Allen West will literally destroy Democrat, dirt Bag, Patrick “The Drunk” Murphy with at least a ten point victory!!! Murphy....sad to say is an insult to America and his irish heritage!!!
When Murphy was arrested,did the police put him in a PADDY

The Florida GOP is also trying to get rid of West. The Liberal RINO GOP re-districted West into a tougher district with more Dem voters
The state GOP here in Florida is total garbage. Run by crooks...supports Black Racists over Black Realists...re-districted GOP strong districts to give the Dems better chances of winning...Bush/Rubio La Raza connection...etc
