As an Australian, that's something that really stands out to me and is impossible to understand. From here, it looks like you don't have, maybe never did have, an effective Opposition. Compared to your system, our Prime Minister walks on egg-shells. Every move, every word is open to scrutiny, and misteps are on the Nightly News in an instant. I expect that's a benefit of being a small country.
Well, the media was seen by our founders as a fourth branch of the original governing body. In our day, the media would be all over any misstep by a republican president or his administration (witness the Scooter Libby media crucifixion) but these same vermin, no longer a fourth estate have become the fifth column tool of the DNC anti-American agenda. It is why I keep saying guillotines from orbit, it’s the only way to clean up the infestation.
