Less pain at the pump for drivers-and Obama (Barf Alert: Drop of 10-20 cents is boon for Obama?)

CBS News) Americans are finally seeing some relief at the gas pump.

The national average for a gallon of regular has fallen for more than 10 straight days, and now stands at $3.69.

The steady decline comes with Election Day right around the corner.

Earlier in the campaign, President Obama's Republican challenger, Mitt Romney, made an issue of high gas prices.

But that pendulum has swung in favor of the president.

And Tom Kloza, chief oil analyst of the Oil Price Information Service, says prices have been heading down in all 48 states in the continental U.S., including, of course, the "battleground" states expected to swing the election.

He adds that, "The biggest declines, and the places you'll most likely see less than $3 is probably in the Southeast and some of the 'red' states.

"But Ohio right now, for example, is somewhere between $3 and $3.20 a gallon. So [Obama] is gonna get a little bit of benefit from that."

Just wait until winter drives-up electric and natural gas prices. Those’ll wipe-out any artificial/BS savings in gas prices-at-the-pump, for every family.

You think the price is manipulated?
You don’t think the government has some influence on the price of gasoline?

In order for it to be under $3 here in Ga. it would
have to go down by 69 cents. Ain’t happening.
Diesel at $3.99.

If CBS news thinks that I'm going to switch my vote to Obama and his cabal of bonesmokers over a paltry drop in the price of gas,Then they don't understand the hatred I harbor for all socialists.

Horse****. $3.74 to $3.89 for 60 miles around where I live in Arizona. No drop for the past two weeks.

Notice how they minced the words a little.

The steady decline comes with Election Day right around the corner.

Really, the "steady" decline? Since when?

We just paid close to $4.30 the last time. That IS down from $4.70. Man, I guess we should vote Obama! /s

CeeBS just can’t help itself...

They have been reporting out some rather negative stuff about Obama, but support of Marxists is so ingrained they can’t even stop from supporting one that is Islamic in his soul.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!

Obama implied that the higher gas prices showed better prosperity.

If prices are falling, that means the economy is getting WORSE.

It was 1.80 because we were at a semi-low point on the depression chain. If ya want low prices at the pump, wish for low stock returns.

Obama has merely reflated the stock bubble and the oil prices have risen with the free money. Throw in sponsoring rebels in Libya and Syria and ya got a nice mix of fun.

Hey he’s the one who said low prices are indicative of a bad economy, right?
So how can this be good news for him?

When 23 million people no longer need to commute to a job, the demand for gasoline declines.

Worth repeating, but let me say it louder:

But that pendulum has swung in favor of the president.

Right! Now gas prices are only up by 100% instead of the 110% they were up a week ago since Obama became president.

One thing that should be made clear is that 0bama’s policies have nothing to do with any temporary drops in the price of gas. (He didn’t build that.)
