I thought tonight’s debate was the best of the three this cycle. Both candidates brought their best arguments, there was a real contrast, and the moderator was not a factor. Any challenger up against an incumbent president on foreign policy who breaks even wins. It will do nothing to alter the momentum toward Romney. He foiled Obama’s offense with a stronger defense. Folks would trust Romney negotiating with China and other world leaders.

Romney reminded me of Reagan in 1980.

Landslide Romney/Ryan 2012.

Basically Romney said his foreign policy would be identical to Obama, except he would do it better. Romney offered nothing new.

Obama was agitated and on guard all night.

When Romney wins, I just hope he doesn’t have Reagan’s luck in 1983 when our embassy in Lebanon was bombed killing 63 in April, then our Marine barracks bombed a few months later killing 241 the same day the French embassy was bombed killing more than 50. The same year a bombing of our embassy in Kuwait only killed 6 thanks to a faulty bomb. A few months later Reagan bowed to voter pressure and pulled our people out of Lebanon. This is not a fun sandbox to play in.

Watching tonight's debate was like having a tooth pulled. I got up out of the chair and went to be halfway through. Tuned the radio and tried to stay awake until the end.

What I found surprising was how well 0bama was able to spin his foreign policy. Things are a real mess and it was like he spread chocolate icing on a s**t cake.

Also the constant head-bob and weave every time Mitt said something he disagreed with or thought was naive. The actual head-bob was very disrespectful, like a punk kid on the street acting like a ‘big man.’ Can you or the public even imagine that this is how he acts in front of foreign dignitaries? It would explain a lot about what is said about him after such meetings and why he is disrespected.

And the other thing that bothered me was 0bama’s constant attempts to paint Mitt as a flip-flopper on foreign policy. All I could keep thinking about was how Mitt was denied access to information, until just a few weeks ago...and how much good information is he really getting?

Mitt, may have needed to agree with 0bama on some things simply because the regime has not released factual information to him.

Mitt did well to step through the minefield laid by 0bama. And for those that have any clue about what is going on in the world under 0bama’s watch, Romney came away from the debate a winner.
