Forgive the naive question. I know the Boston Globe slants left, but what is the Herald regularly like?

The Hearld is center right. Used to be owned by Rupert and Newscorp.

Well, they endorsed McCain in 2008.

It has a couple of lib columnists but those are offset by Howie Carr (who also has a popular radio show). The editorial board is generally right of center. It is a tabloid paper, the type which is ridiculed by the “bow-tie bumkissers” of the Globe to quote Carr.

Closer to sane than the rest in the Boston area - they don't claim the Commons as their playground...
