This can't be said enough. And I'm appalled that a growing number of FReepers (who should know better) have deluded themselves into thinking that Romney has actually become a Conservative over the past three months and will govern that way, when his longstanding record clearly suggests otherwise.
You really have to say that. You really believe that reelection of Obama is the better course. I have four grandchildren you are condemning. You are effing evil.
I agree that the Republican Party by and large does not yet get it. Exhibit A is their behavior when they controlled both houses of Congress and the Presidency in the early Bush years. If they obtain the same power in January, conservatives must keep the pressure on or we may well repeat that experience. Those most susceptible to pressure will be the Republicans in the House. We can obtain influence over them by supporting them (financially and otherwise) now. I am doing this with the most vulnerable Republican Congressman in my county. I urge you all to do the same.
t don’t know that Freepers are deluded so much as we are hopeful.
Anybody is better than obammy-—and maybe we can pull a few conservatives into House and Senate seats, and at least start to unravel some of the damage that has been done.
One election is not enough to bring this nation back to the vision of our forefathers-—but it would be a start.
you just don’t get it do you?
Where is your fabulous ultra conservative candidate? As soon as you cough him/her up, you can start complaining.
His "longstanding record" consists of four years as gubernator of the USSM where 87% of the legislators were demonRATs and he didn't do all that evil that the Mitt haters attribute to him.
Do you really want 4 more years like the last 4?
How many virgil goode and/or gary johnson voters are voting for obama by not voting for Romney/Ryan?
I hope their wasted votes don't hurt the Country.
Admittedly a bit of positive thinking here. But what are our options.
