Client is Maureen Stemberg Sullivan, ex-wife of Staples founder Tom Stemberg.
Allred & Boston Globe are moving to remove gag order on Stemberg Sullivan, and release Mitt Romney testimony.

This is exactly how Obama became Senator from IL. He had a judge open the sealed divorce records of Obama’s opponent. This ought to be aired on Rush, Hannity, O’Reilly and Levin the minute it happens.
There is no such thing as “sealed” legal affairs when dealing with the Chicago Democrat Mafia.

If Romney provided financial information about Staples it wasn’t because Stemberg was his close friend. It was because Bain was the big investor in the founding of Staples. Business, not friendship.
The big deal here is that Obama is - for the third time - getting sealed divorce records unsealed to help him get elected.
So what makes the news tonight. This or the 400 e-mails from Benghazi?
Note that Romney’s lawyer doesn’t object to his testimony being out there. Just another sign of a stand-up guy. Nothing to hide. That’s transparency. Something Obama can’t possibly match.
In many instances, the devil is depicted as wearing red. Heh.
So Romney’s attorney wants it settled tomorrow and Allred responds by fishing for more info?

So, who's she? Well, she works (or worked at the time of the complaint with Allred) in the Treasury Department IG's shop.
Earlier she'd been the ICE spokeslady for the Elian kidnapping ~ and seemed quite happy to be doing that chore for Fidel Castro and his crowd.
Along the way she claims she encountered Herman Cain ~ but she did something quite early in her life that I found to be startling. She bought a new home in my community in her then infant son's name.
Hmmmm. Sounds very cloak and daggerish ~ when you do that and somebody is trying to track you down 20 years later they'll never find where you live since that's in your kids' name ~ not yours ~ and even your phone number is going to be one that only your boss knows.
This relationship with Gloria Allred and Fidel Castro's intrigues suggests that she, and probably Gloria, are sleeper agents who come out to do Castro's bidding whenever that seems useful ~ or maybe not Castro, but Putin, or the top Chicom ~ whatever ~ people like that.
So here's this guy's ex-wife writing for Huffington Post herself, and being buddy buddies with Gloria Allred and all that crowd of spies and double agents for tinpot communist dictators ~ and I'd say her exhusband was lucky to dump her!
Frankly I don't like Romney this close to trashy people like this but that could just be the luck of the draw ~ we'll have to watch his nominees for federal appointments just that much closer.

Yes, it seems that Romney just wants to get the proceedings done with so it doesn’t distract from the campaigns message and momentum. I don’t sense fear the Romney atty has any fear of what’s in the docs, but rather the circus and speculation that will happen if the case is delayed. Rumor reported as fact on MSDNC and CNN and all that stuff.
I was through a divorce 12 years ago and I had a court order to seal the papers. IMHO, it is none of the public’s business to know what kind of assets I have or what happened during the divorce.
This is what it boils down to: Allred got involved because of the perceived ‘injustice’ by the former wife. In the divorce, she got: the equity in the couple’s $700,000 Dedham house, some $100,000 in furnishings, 500,000 shares of Staples stock (worth roughly $13 million), $32,000-a-year in alimony, $24,000 in annual child support and other benefits.
According to an article in the Boston Globe in 2005, Maureen received nearly 500,000 shares of Staples stock in the divorce ... but sold half her shares before the company went public. The ex wife alleges that her attorneys advised her to sell the shares in order to pay her legal bills (she sued them and stated that verbatim). She made the decision to sell the shares before the IPO, which set the shares at $19.50 instead of the $2.00 they were worth at the time of the divorce. She made the bad decision based on her lawyer’s advice, not Romney’s advice - who had testified as to the value of Staples in the divorce proceedings.
Allred states that Mitt offered false testimony when he stated the value. WHich is BS - I’ve seen companies jump from $1.00 to $23.00 in a matter of hours, let alone over the course of years when they are building value and working toward an IPO.
Basically, the wife wants more money and Allred sees the caveat as the opportunity to smear Romney over nothing.
No, I think that the angle is going to be that Romney testified to a very low value of Staples and cheated the woman out of a big divorce settlement. I bet she is going to claim that Romney was a friend of her husband’s or that Romney somehow benefited personally.
I never cared for Gloria Allred. I mean come on her name is ALL...RED... Pretty colors if you like being a communist.
Romney may not care about the docs being unsealed, but the guy who was actually a party to the divorce appears to. And his concerns would seem to take precedence.
From what we’ve seen it looks like Allred is trying to smear by association. Could be some ugly stuff in the Docs, but not on Romney’s part. But they’ll try to tie Stemberg to Romney since Staples has been a big part of the Romney/Bain success story. Cheap shot. Don’t know if it will play w/ women or not. I could see them doing the faux “boys club” thing to turn women off.
