AVENPORT, Iowa — The Obama campaign’s strategy of winning the election with the help of Hispanic voters was on full display Wednesday as President Obama promised to achieve immigration reform next year, and a top aide predicted the country’s fast-growing number of minority voters will propel the president to a second term.
In an interview that the White House originally insisted be kept off the record, Mr. Obama told an Iowa newspaper that he’s “confident” he will achieve immigration reform next year if he’s re-elected.
“Since this is off the record, I will just be very blunt,” Mr. Obama told the editor and publisher of the Des Moines Register in a 30-minute phone call. “Should I win a second term, a big reason I will win a second term is because the Republican nominee and the Republican Party have so alienated the fastest-growing demographic group in the country, the Latino community.”
It was the latest in a series of appeals by the president this year to Latino voters, whose clout could make the difference in battleground states such as Florida, Colorado, Nevada, Virginia and Iowa. In the campaign’s final two weeks, the president’s political strategists are focused mainly on exciting Mr. Obama’s supporters to go to the polls, despite high unemployment among minorities. In polls, Mr. Obama holds a lead of more than 30 percentage points over Republican nominee Mitt Romney among Hispanic voters.
Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki said minority early-voting patterns in swing states are encouraging.

In the decade ending in 2010 we had the largest number of immigrants in our history--13.9 million. During that same period we had a net loss of 400,000 jobs. 25% of the adult immigrants we bring in each year are high school dropouts. We are importing poverty with 57% of immigrant headed households with children on at least one major welfare program.
Our current pro-population growth immigration policies are fueling bigger and bigger government as we approach a population of half a billion within the next 50 years. Milton Friedman said that, “You cannot simultaneously have free immigration and a welfare state.” We have both.

Why are we letting in ANY Mexican legal immigrants if there are ANY
illegal Mexicans here?
Why do we promote food stamps to the Mexican embassies? For their
illegals coming here?
Why do we stand in front of the Mexican president and tell Arizona
to go to hell? Why is Obama killing any Arizona action to protect itself
against gun running and drug violence?
Why did Obama do Fast and Furious against American border agents dead
and the Mexicans dead? Is he a Hitler type dictator and thought he could
get away with it?
Why do I have to select a language, english or spanish in a CVS store? WHY???
as if English and Spanish are equal.

If you don’t want to speak English get the hell out of my country.
If you don’t want to follow legal immigration get the hell out of my country now.
If you are illegal or legal and get any Food STamps, health care, Medicaid
or welfare, GET THE HELL OUT OF MY COUNTRY NOW.
We want hard working people who do not take welfare, they have a sponsor
and are not a burden to any government program.

Americans. I could go on and on.
