To my knowledge, this is the first word from General David Petraeus. The DNI, who is nothing more than a tool and a very dull one at that, has taken the Party line; but as far as I know, not Petraeus. His silence has been deafening.

To my knowledge, this is the first word from General David PetraeusAccording to other posters on this thread who seem knowledgeable about the chain of command for that type of request the CIA is not in it. It goes up through DOD not the CIA. CIA can not commit troops so Petraeus though he was aware real time what was occurring it was not his decision
