Voting is like sex.
People make videos about it and post them online. And then everyone argues about whether that was a good idea.
In my continual quest to have every possible position on the subject of Lena Dunham, I think I like her latest video, a get-out-the-vote effort. It’s cute and tongue-in-cheek and doesn’t outstay its welcome. With the minor objection that I am fundamentally opposed to the whole concept of get-out-the-vote videos, it works.
Still, given Lena Dunham’s mastery of awkward sex, you’d think she would have made a more honest appraisal.
“My first time voting was amazing,” she gushes. “It was this line in the sand. Before I was a girl; now, I was a woman.”

First, it wasn't an ad, and second, only young people with their fully-formed gutter minds would ascribe a sexual connotation to that statement. Reagan certainly wouldn't have. Young people today have no knowledge of a time when every statement was not a double entendre. Young people today are so corrupted they see and hear filthy sex talk in everything.
And the Democrats have their professional equivicators out in force on the web today, because I saw one poster try to equate the Beirut Marine Barracks suicide bombing to the Benghazi incident.

The left has a weird fascination with deviant sexual behaviour. What the heck is with them and their obsession with perversion? They’re always in your face with promiscuity, homosexuality, dressing up as female body parts, public nudity, etc. What is this about?

I’m surprised they asked her to do this, or perhaps she offered herself lol. Lena is a talented writer, but her loser persona on the show is so blurred with Lena in real life... I’m not sure how it’s a positive having her promote voting for Obama, besides which women who do identify with her... were already voting for him.
