My point is, if people are this motivated in solid red "non-swing" state where their vote essentially doesn't really matter. Then the Republican or Republican leaning voters in actual swing states are really going to be "broken glass" voters.
I’m having the hardest time concentrating on this thread. I’m at the community college and two middle-aged, female government workers are loudly complaining about how little the extremists respect “The President”.
They’re complaining how lost some of their male family members are.
The same is happening in Texas.
Exactly the same experience here in an 80/20 McCain over Obama county in TX. The line to early vote was an hour long and nobody had ever seen anything like it.
Long lines in Kansas too (also deep red) - about a 30 min wait at my precinct on Monday when I went with my brother.
We had over 4000 early voters in my red county ...and our population is only about 30,000.
That would bode well for down ticket races even if you aren’t in a swing state...which are also very important.
Tomorrow will be telling in Wisconsin. Romney is having a rally in a Milwaukee suburb. If it ends up as big as I think, it will show how the race is turning in WI.
Thursday, Marco Rubio drew an overflow crowd of more than 1000 to an 11:30 am rally. Monday, Ryan filled his venue on a college campus, without a hint of counter protest.
A democrat rally with Sen. Dick Durbin, a few days earlier, drew a couple more than 50, yes 50 people. Granted, who really wants to hear from a FIB. (Wisconsin people know what FIB means.)
I keep thinking that the supposed rat advantage in early voting (OH and a couple of other states) might actually be former rats deserting a sinking ship and voting for Romney.
