I would prefer gridlock over reaching across the aisle. Compromising means you have to let them get some things that they want in order to get your agenda passed. 100% of what the left wants is contrary to my most central core values.

If this goes the way it’s looking, I predict a more amenable Democrat minority - there will be some, not all, but some who will want to do whatever they can to wash the stink of the Obama years from their records.
