I think colin is addicted to being invited to all the cool Washington parties and likes the good life. He knows that he'll be mocked and ridiculed (ie, "whipped") if he kept saying he's a Republican. So, to keep Massa from whipping him anymore, he's decided to support Obama.
Under intense pressure, even a good man breaks.
