Exactly. Just picture the kind of loser who writes op-ed pieces for the NY Times for a living. He's sitting there at home in the dark in New York City, he hasn't had his Starbucks latte for several days, and he doesn't believe in God so he can't attribute his misfortune to any kind of Divine circumstances. He's a loser who has to blame
somebody for his circumstances, so he can't even blame it on the random happenstances of nature. He also has a pathological obsession with Big Government, so he uses whatever specious evidence he finds and constructs a "problem" that only "government regulation" can solve.
