On the one hand, the allegation made by the Daily Caller that Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., flew to the Dominican Republic and paid two women for sex seems just what this campaign season really needs -- a sex scandal.
On the other hand, it's not much of a scandal. Menendez is divorced, after all, and laws against soliciting prostitutes are honored more in the breach. To be sure, the senator is being accused of reneging on the transaction, paying only $100 after having promised $500 to one of the young ladies in question.

The MSM would never treat a Republican sex scandal with such diffidence.

I notice that the words “underage” “minor” and “child” appear nowhere in the article.
Obama was later quoted as saying; “I know Bob Menendez and he is certainly no Ted Kennedy.”
Well you have a media, a senate, a congress, and a party excusing an administration of treason involving the death of heroes, and people expect that they will care about prostitution?
I mean, are you kidding me?

Even if the senator paid for sex from a prostitute that was a child then tortured and murdered her, it would not matter at all.

Heck no! Their entire campaign has been about first time sex, free birth control, lady parts, abortion, filth and vulgarity. Now, obviously, orgies and prostitution. If anyone in this country is proud to call themselves a Democrat after this disgusting insult of their intelligence then they are morons, which is what Obama is counting on.

I believe that I have read somewhere that US laws apply to US citizens worldwide in this area, in order to discourage sex tourism (and the effective export of perversion). Things that I have read give the phrase “ugly American” a disturbing new meaning.
The thing in the article that additionally caught my eye is that if what the woman said is true, he ripped her off. Typical Dem behavior, taking advantage of the underclass.
Now imagine if this were a GOP Senator... the “media” would be literally screaming for his head.
