Is there not a HUGE Muslim population in New Jersey? Surely those who prefer the 12th century can`t complain about lack of power and other perks of modern civilization. Nor should the liberal `greenies`. Now they can enjoy the primitive lives they glorify. Awww ...as someone who faces thes conditions EVERY year,and who has suffered through Betsy,Camille,Andrew,Katrina and Issac(8 days no power 100 deg apt) I find it hard to pity people in 50degrees who can`t take a tropical storm in the wealthiest part of the country.
So, is Staten Island being ignored by the recovery effort because they are a republican bastion?
It’s hard to tell. I think it’s mostly GROSS incompetence on the part of Governor Cuomo and Mayor Doomberg.
