Andrea Mitchell: ‘If Pennsylvania Is In Play, Then This Is All Over For The President’(no filter!)
Mediaite/MSNBC ^ | November 5, 2012 | Andrea Mitchell

Posted on 11/05/2012 12:39:13 PM PST by Seizethecarp

While examining some possible Electoral College scenarios with NBC News White House Correspondent Chuck Todd, Andrea Mitchell wondered why President Barack Obama’s campaign would send former President Bill Clinton to Philadelphia if they were confident the Keystone State was unlikely to flip to Mitt Romney on Tuesday. “If Pennsylvania is in play, then this is all over for the president,” Mitchell said.

“Why would you send Bill Clinton to Philadelphia if you weren’t certain that the people of Philadelphia were going to turn out and you would have a Democratic victory,” Mitchell asked Todd.

Note to Andrea "no filter" Mitchell: PA _IS_ in play!

Later she had Madcow on (can't find the video yet) and, IIRC, Madcow admitted that Ohio early/absent voting underperformed 2008 "by half" which could well endanger a win by Barry and Michell concurred. They must be in shock (or tranguilizers?) because they were very calm while saying this.

Suddenly, it’s time to put the pom-poms down and try to save some “journalistic integrity.” Too late for that Andrea!

“Why would you send Bill Clinton to Philadelphia

Because deep down you really want to loose and Clinton's campaigning for other candidates has a tried and true result?

Perhaps “Angrea” Mitchell and Rachel “Meadow” have grasped at some elemental level, what is coming down the pike at them, as representatives of the liberal media.

Happy days might be here again.

“Why would you send Bill Clinton to Philadelphia if you weren’t certain that the people of Philadelphia were going to turn out and you would have a Democratic victory,”,p> Andrea got it bass-ackwards again, as usual.

If you were certain that the people of Philadelphia were going to turn out and you would have a Democratic victory, why would you send Bill to campaign there when you know other states are in jeopardy?

No crap. If Romney can win PA, he’ll get Ohio, Florida, Virginia, and possibly Michigan and Wisconsin since PA runs close with those two latter state.

And Wisconsin -

Springsteen drew 84,000 PAYING fans to Wrigley Field in September, and today OFA could only round up 18,000 for the Springsteen-Obama lovefest that is FREE?

I saw all I needed to see when I turned on Fox News this morning and saw Obama campaigning in Madison, Wisconsin..a city that should be in the bag for Obama and he’s campaigning there LOL..and he hardly drew the amount of people like he did in 2008..Obama is toast..Obama campaigning in Madison would be like Romney campaigning in Texas..Obama’s minions aren’t fooling anyone they know they are finished

If it really is all over but the counting, it’s all about the Senate, and the associated “coattails” now...

Not surprisingly the next paragraph of the story begins:

“Todd explained that the Obama campaign....”

Who better to straighten her out on Obama’s behalf?

Well, Andrea, Pennsylvania is definitely in play... so we’re just going to put you down with Morris, Will, Noonan and Barone for a decisive Romney victory. Thanks :D

It cuts both ways. Why is Romney campaigning in Florida, a state that almost everyone on both sides has considered was in the bag for him? On FOX last night, they were saying both campaigns are balancing out best case scenario vs. worst case scenario because neither one has a clue if they’re going to win.

I can see Mitt winning FL, VA, NC, OH, WI, NH and CO before he wins PA. I just don’t think he’s going to lose any of those and still win PA. So PA is really nothing but extra EVs for him. My guess is he only campaigned here as a bluff, to force Obama to devote resources here instead of to states Mitt has a better chance in. Having Clinton waste time here instead of going to OH, WI or VA is a GREAT thing for Mitt.

They must be in shock (or tranguilizers?) because they were very calm while saying this.

I don't want acceptance. I paid to see all five stages of liberal grief. I want denial when the first returns come in and they have to pretend that they must be from some bitter clinger precincts. I want anger, lots and lots of eyes bugging out anger. I want bargaining when they are trying to salvage a couple of western states. But most of all I want depression. I want to taste the bitter tears of liberal sadness when the map is turning redder and redder and they have no way of adding up the eastern blue states plus the western likely blue and hit 270.
