Yuck, only 9 Republicans to 20 something rats, what nasty little town. It’s also 9 votes for the GOP Governor candidate and Congressman.

In 2008 it was 17 to to 10.

So the Notch has gotten better (and turnout lower) and the the Location, worse (and turnout higher).

Of course you can’t read much into this, more people than these towns combined live on an average city block.

The Notch got smaller due to the Obama economy. The hotel they usually have the election in got torn down.

(We’ll ignore that they are going to rebuild.)

New England has remained and gotten bluer.

A generation ago, small towns like these would have gone R. Its probably a good read of voting trends in NE and the Northeast but not much else.

And this is the only region of the country in which O has a strong lead so these two towns’ vote comes as no surprise.

You cannot read anything into it as a synedoche for the country.

Agreed. Sure makes me wonder when I see folks that can’t see Obama for what he is better than this. I don’t care if it’s just one person.
