There’s a strong Republican turnout in Pennsylvania and Florida.
Governor Tom Ridge reports high Republican intensity in Pennsylvania.

A lot of them have sons and daughters that graduated from college who can’t find a job. Anecdotal report from the front lines in Pennsylvania:
I live in Lycoming County. We typically vote 60%-70% Republican reliably.
I arrived at my polling place at 6:40am hoping to be #1 to vote against Obama. I found a line of 20 people already waiting!
By the time I voted, the line behind was at least 30-40 deep!
Our team is coming out!
Now, I made some visits to customers and ended up in Philadelphia at noon. I drove past 3 polling places. No lines, no waiting.
I stopped at an Italian barber in the northeast part of the city that is near totally Democrat. The barber shop is directly across the street from a polling place.
In the 30 minutes I waited and then received my haircut, I counted no more than 30 people going in and out of that polling place!
I am convinced that Dem turnout is light this cycle and we will carry the day!
PS: No Black Panthers sighted.
Hope you can offset the 108% turnout the Philadelphia precincts will get.
I think it is great that we have a high Republican turnout, but I also believe a lot of Democrats are turning out to vote against Obama too.
Most Americans can recognise a dog turd when they see one , no mattter what party they belong to.
Governor Ridge is 100% correct about people in Pennsylvania having kids who can’t find jobs.
When I was voting earlier today - in the suburbs just outside Pittsburgh - I ran into the mother of one of my high school classmates. I also met her at the polling station in 2008, interestingly enough.
When I asked her how her son was doing in 2008, she got a big grin and talked about how he was just about done with college. When I asked her how he was doing earlier today, she frowned, looked downcast, and said “Oh, he’s doing odd jobs...like painting...you know...”
I walked to the polls. On the way over in 2008, there were Obama signs EVERYWHERE. Today? Not a single one.
A lot of the pollsters had NOboma and Romney running even, but the polls were anywhere from 3+ to 11+ democrat heavy. That means those extra democrats were voting for Romney, otherwise NObama should have been 3-11 points ahead.
I know one pretty dependable democrat voting for Romney this time, and he's a government union man!
Exactly. I believe Republicans will have record turnout while Obama loses independent voters by double digits, as well as some from his own party. Considering the state of the nation, I’d much rather be the challenger in this election.

Cannot tell you how many people we know whose sons and daughters who graduated some 2 or 3 years ago STILL have not found jobs in their career fields — all doing those makeshift type jobs — waiting tables, etc. Some make their way, but many are still living at home. If they DO have jobs, they definitely are STILL at home, “saving up” to move out ....but it’s not happening.
My own dear daughter has a job and has moved out, but lives like a pauper having to pay off her massive student loan.
I am an Independent voter who - I am ashamed to say- voted for Obama in 2008.
This year, I not only voted for Romney/Ryan in New York State, but this past weekend I went down to Manassas, Virginia to knock on doors for Romney.
Priebus, the Republican Chair person visited the Victory headquarters in Manassas. When I told him I was a former Obama voter who switched to Romney, he high-fived me.

Yes, there are Democrats that are on the moderate side of things. There are also Libertarians, unaffiliated voters, you name it.
Four from my family have voted for Romney in Florida:
Spouse and me (Libertarians)
Mother (moderate Democrat)
Sister (Unaffiliated, but a moderate-to-right independent)
