Hispanics are the key. President Bush tried to do the smart thing with comprehensive immigration reform, but Republicans turned on him and alienated Hispanics. All we have left is too fully embrace such a policy now and pray Hispanics will give us one last chance.

Absolutely; they are the “replacement Americans” (replacing both whites & blacks), and Republicans have to reach out to them (not necessarily compromising on their principles, but at least vocalize conservative principles in Spanish).

I HATE identity politics. If the only way to save America is to kiss the rings of people who identify their politics on the basis of skin color or country of origin, then our country is not worth saving.
