I believe you are incredibly optimistic to think there will be elections in 2016.

Don’t waste your time thinking about the next guy. Get some chips, dip and cheap Rose and enjoy watching the collapse. I almost forgot. Get a cigar and light it with a trillion dollar bill.

They’re shifting left because that’s where the new center is.

We blew the center-right moment. Nixon first got it, and he screwed up with Watergate. Then Reagan gave us a second shot, and sure he might have made some short term gains, but look where we are now.

The left has demographics, academia, and the media. Conservatives are older, and dying off as time progresses.

Young Millennials like me aren’t religious, or social conservatives either. Being so will probably put me to the far-right as time goes by.

The Reagan coalition is broken, and short of a miracle, the new coalition that is going to emerge will NOT favor us.

2016, there ain’t gonna be no stinking 2016! The constitution is nothing but a sheet if paper as of toady! It has no value because we have POTUS who has just been re-elected by a majority of people that think its ok to defy laws as long as the Govenment gives them stuff!

If the house lays down for Obama, I will never vote for another republican the rest of my life.

I got burned by RINO Mc’Cain, and now by RINO Romney. I finally figured it out. They ARE the true republicans. The RINO’s are the conservatives in the party.

I am RINO no more. I am a true none of the above. And voting is an utter waste of time. It is way too rigged and nobody, NOBODY with the power, has the cajoles to do anything about it.

Time to put my faith where it belongs, in the blood of Christ. Countries have always come and gone.

People don’t seem to realize that Rove, Romney, etc, WANT to go left, it is their goal, not something that they are forced to settle on.

All GOP politics is Rockefeller versus Reagan.

You assume that there’s going to be another election.

Rubio is a RINO just like Romney.

My God, won’t we ever learn, even while exiting the woodshed?!

Hyperinflation is coming. All bets are off about the union staying together when that begins.

Will there still be a grand ole party in 2016? The people who control it from the inside have killed it. I see many formerly GOP voters moving away from the party towards a more libertarian group and a tea party group. They hold little sway anymore at this point.

If the GOP has any hope to get into the W.H. there needs to be ways to make inroads into the West Coast states and the liberal Northeast. Even 28 years ago, Reagan won every state except for MN and maybe one other state. We taken over the South where as like more than 30 years ago, it was a democrat bastion. We need to find ways to win states like PA, NY and CA since they have a lion share of electoral votes. Antoher angle is a change to their state laws where a proportion of EV’s are awarded based on their vote. like PA with their 20 EV’s, if 51% goes to candidate A and 49% to B, then 11 EV’s to A and 9 to B.

I am in Colorado and we have more one to democrats due to influx of people from the East Coast and California. We have been Californicated !

Great - just what we need, the other party also playing race and probably gender politics to get their vote.

Sorry, no more voting for Republicans or Democrats. No more race baiting, no gender or other political pandering. Tired of it.

I will either vote for someone who plays to Americans or I will not vote. That will almost assuredly leave out both major parties because that has become their pattern.

Of course at the rate it is going, we could all become a part of greater North America the way things are going.

They need to just stay out of it.

Yep and the black american political block of the socialst democratic party is about to become a footnote because their political block’s power is diminishing while the Latino’s are on the up swing. Obama telegraphed that as much when he didn’t give them much time during the campaign. Yet they will be “loyal” voters for the socialists. Entertained or kept busy with bread and circus acts.

Plus you are assuming there will still be 50 states in 2016. I can see, or hope for, the day when maker states (TX, OK, SD, WY, NE, AZ et al) get tired of paying for the freeloading taker states like IL, NY, CA, NY Mass, Fla and leave the US to form a new country or republic.

But on the topic of 2016, if there is any conservative choice and a 50 state republic Rubio/West would be the one to watch.
