The way the GOP-e marginalized the Tea Party and outright shanked the Ron Paul movement between the ribs... Not seating Maine delegates to the convention? That's bullsh!t and we should expect better... it's no surprise that the conservative vote didn't flock to the polls to vote for Romney.

News flash to GOP leaders: Acting like Democrats is not the path to victory.

If not a third party then we need a conservative wing of the republican party..a party within the party....this wing will have a way of selecting one person to run in the GOP primary (How I do not know ).. were split the vote otherwise and we never get a conservative candidate.....the wing also elects a leader in the house and senate...and he either becomes the GOP leader or a second and has a say in how things are done..right now we just follow along like puppies..it sucks

I’m in, I left the GOP years ago. It would be nice to be able to vote for someone that is a constitutional conservative.

I have to agree with you. I was appalled by some of the nonsense that went on during the primary. Romney was running a very negative campaign against his ‘fellow’ Republicans. During the same time that he was refusing the criticize Obama. Remember he went so far as to accuse many of them (Santorum, Newt and co.) of being ‘fake’ conservatives. Which considering his past record (much discussed here on FR) was laughable.

I got the feeling Romney respected Obama far far more than he did the other Republican candidates. Romney expected that everyone would fall in line and go to war with the Army they had. Well most of the candidates did as they dropped out one by one. That kind of treatment is no strategy to endear the supporters of these candidates to Romney (we didn't have campaign debt we needed his money for).

It continued after the primary when I began receiving email after email begging for my help in getting Romney elected. I was encouraged to sign up and make phone calls ect. Why was there no push of the same magnitude to enlist help getting Senators and congress critters elected? Romney's campaign made no call for the Tea party to help. He just thought he'd declare himself part of it (with the help of Ann Coulter) and everyone would fall in line.

Now of course the story has changed. NOW he tells us we have to reach across the aisle, as he said in his resignation speech.
