Grover Nordquist was just on CNBC and said that the re-election of the GOP controlled house was more important that Obama’s re-election. The reason is that the GOP was re-elected on its pledge not to raise taxes and passed budget legislation aimed at reducing the deficit and restoring fiscal health. Obama, he said, ran on personal attacks on Mitt Romney and had a slender margin of victory. Thus, Obama’s re-election only means the public wants him “to be not Mitt Romney.” I thought it was a nice analysis of the election outcomes.

The sad notion is that we know that Romney got less votes than McCain. I guess the bottom line is that if had receveived the McCain vote, he'd likely be in office right now. Just another reason we need conservatism.
