Government attracts the corrupt and inept.
This is nothing new.
Like when it was discovered Bush’s homeland security boss Chertoff, had people who’d entered the country illegally, during war time, wandering around the inside of his private residence.
Except Chertoff like most others in government, did not have the guts or honor to resign.
