Well, that was fast.

Just two days after President Barack Obama won a second term, boosted by more than 70 percent of the Latino vote, some Republicans are striking a new tone on illegal immigration.

Conservative Fox News and radio host Sean Hannity said Thursday that his views on immigration have "evolved."

Everything they had to say boiled down to this: We basically share a lot of values with the Republicans.

Guess they missed the part about republicans fighting for their own country. They're actually a lot like "moderate" republicans. They were democrats until the marxists invaded so they crossed the border to the GOP and now they're homesick for the good old democrat party and want to remake the GOP into the new democrat party.

“I say to them: SCREW you, Latino community!!! Get in the back of the line and ENFORCE THE LAWS ON THE BOOKS!! NO group should receive special treatment above all others ...every American gets the same chance and you can work it if you have the brains, guts, and ambition and come here legally — Not the American way, pals!”

This Paragraph alone is worthy of its own post!!

The Problem is that the GOP refuses to, or is afraid to look at the real world (and their too busy stuffing cash in their own pockets).

I don’t know what will save us (taxpayers) other than us saving ourselves.

Sean is a RINo, liberal republican, I have stopped watching his show or listening to his radio program. Anyone who says people like Juan or Beckel are nice people and count them as friends is not a conservative. Liberal are destroying our country, there is NOTHING nice about them.

Illegals don’t come here with intent of creating a third world country, otherwise they would stay where they were.

The hell they don't. Go to any hispanic part of any city and tell me what it looks like.

Everyone wants a piece of the pie. If you lived in poverty you would try and get your family here, too.

Sure, I would. I would break laws, invade another country, steal social security numbers, lie on forms, etc.

The key is to make it tougher for them and easier for legal immigration.

Not with the dems (and many GOP quislings in charge).

If lazy Americans were willing to take all of the jobs, the illegals would have no reason to come here.

Rush? Sean? GW? That you?

What a load of hogwash. Americans have been the most generous nation on earth. Why can't we say we've had enough? According to you and others like you there is an endless supply of money and jobs in the U.S. so why not let them in. We need to stop ALL immigration now - especially the hispanics from third world countries. They are all peons from a peon class and stay that way.

I work with them. One lady has been here over 25 years and I still can't understand a damn thing she says. Another from Dominican who has been here over 15 years and in completely unintelligible in English. Yeah, they want to better themselves. Only if it's at our expense.

My children, God forgive me, will learn how much I despise these people for their culture and thieving ways. Some of them are nice one on one but together they are a cancer on our country. And, I'm talking ONLY about the hispanics that invade our country. You don't see Poles, Germans, Asians, etc. acting like these detritus.

Let's give the illegals amnesty in the states that vote for it.

Let's see how that flies.

Texas doesn't vote for amnesty, no amnesty in Texas.

New York votes for amnesty, amnesty in New York.

To get around legalities call it “sanctuary”. States can vote not to enforce immigration laws in their state freeing up Immigration agents for other states.

They want em, let em have them.

I live and pay taxes in a state which spends 12-16 billion a year on services to illegals and which provides incentives for people to come and stay here illegally. Here’s my tax reform proposal.

Enforce current laws.

Shore up border security.

Support Arizona and other states where kidnapping and other crimes have increased, and there have been contracts put out on police officers.

Secure parks near the border so that they can be safely used by citizens.

Proof of citizenship for voting, employments, driver licenses, school registration etc.

No public funded services except transportation home and any emergency medical care to get you there.

No federal funds to states or cities which do not help enforce immigration laws.

Arrest public figures and others who conspire to violate immigration laws.

Expedite employer requests for foreign workers where a strong case can be made that there are not sufficient works available for their industry and where they can demonstrate adequate effort to find employees.

Drastically reduce immigration from countries which have a large percentage of their population which are religious fanatics or where the government is run my religious fanatics: Somalia, Iran, Egypt. No immigration of “Palistinians” or members of groups such as Hamas, Hesbollah, Muslim Brotherhood, liberals (just to see if you’re still reading).

How about they tackle the illegals and send them back. There used to be a time when we cared about protecting our borders, but that time is long gone and there will be no immigration control that actually keeps undesirables/illegals out - anything done now will merely find ways to make them all be accepted as "Americans".

Side note: I have Google Chrome installed as a secondary browser and the spell check is really nice when posting - don't have to hit the "Spell" button to catch typos.

Sean Hannity is what you call "controlled opposition".

Nice guy, not too bright.

When he starts talking about the fact that they stole this election blatantly, I might give a listen.

My rant from another thread:

It’s time to compromise on immigration. All we need to get out of this is border security. A fence, drones, cameras, sensors, agents, (whatever we want), in return for pseudo amnesty. Call it whatever you want as long as you don’t call it amnesty. I don’t care if it IS amnesty. We HAVE TO be on the right side of immigration reform. They are not all going to self deport. We are not going to uproot or split up families. We are not going to deport adults who were brought here as children. We are STUCK on stupid on this issue. We are not going to kick these people out.

THEY ARE ALREADY HERE. DEAL WITH IT. We need to STEAL this issue from the Demoncrats. Again we win. We get what we want, (border security) and they get what is already the status quo and WE take credit for it.

Have a retroactive drop dead date, say 11/10/2012, and then enforce immigration to the letter of the law. ZERO tolerance. If you can’t PROVE you were here prior to the drop dead date, YOU GO BACK.

Illegals will come out of the shadows, get documentation, have a chance at FUTURE citizenship. Remember, THEY ARE ALREADY HERE and they aren’t going back, voluntarily or otherwise. Can you handle the TRUTH?

Let’s make these WINNING issues for US. As it stands now, we are the biggest losers.

Many of your comments are asinine. No one said to grant illegals immediate CITIZENSHIP. They won't be able to legally vote. Twenty-One years? We can argue about the number of years.

Cut off the freebies, they are for citizens only.

Well, I don’t know anyone who objects to reform; it all depends on the details.

"No voting rights for 25 years."

For those who came here illegally.....no voting rights EVER...just permanent residency. For children who were brought here, they are eligible for a path to voting rights...when they reach 21 and if they have maintained a clean legal and education record. Children born here will, of course, become citizens automatically (and yes, I know that is NOT the original intent of the FF, but that is the way the courts today will enforce it).

And the borders MUST be closed to further illegal trespass FIRST.

Obama won the Ledbetter act argument merely by using that term, when in the big picture, the Ledbetter act did almost nothing substantial over prior laws.

So let’s claim the term “immigration reform”. But not let whole-hearted decimation of our immigration laws occur.

Some reform issues I’d like to see:
1) Require the federal government to honor states’ efforts at enforcing rules against illegal immigration, and prohibit the attorney general from challenging those state laws in the courts.
2) Require all illegals to be documented, and tax all the money they send back home at 25%.

Yeah, there are lots more kinds of immigration reform that the conservatives could strongly support. But will Boehner do that? I think not.

Call it probation....for illegal entry to the country. If after 20 years, they had a clean record, they can vote.

You never disputed my contention that illegals take jobs that lazy Americans won’t do.

Instead you demonstrated unbridled racism, a trait of the ignorant.

If you believe want to come here to be poor and bring us down, you are an utter moron.

Explain how those jobs got done before the hoards of illegals came here?

BTW, I notice you don't dispute MY claim of "Go to any hispanic part of any city and tell me what it looks like." They are dumps.

Instead you demonstrated unbridled racism, a trait of the ignorant.

I've been driven to it by the likes of you who won't accept that these people DON'T come here with skills, education or money. That we have to support them with our tax dollars while they work for peanuts because business owners won't pay a decent wage for Americans to do the work.

If you believe want to come here to be poor and bring us down, you are an utter moron.

Oh, go ahead. Completely misconstrue what I said. They obviously don't come here to BE poor but that's all they know - unless the govt takes my money and gives it to them while they work their jobs of peon labor.

Call me racist again. I don't care anymore. I DO NOT see people from Europe and Asia come here and refuse to learn English; demand that WE learn their language; suck off the govt teat while working to make their family realize the American dream; taunt us as we support them with our tax dollars.

Go ahead, call me racist. I don't care anymore what a quisling calls me.

Here they are - your vaunted people...

All the hispanics where I work were literally dancing because obama won. Family values my behind....
