Operation Chaos was where Rush encouraged Republicans to cross-over and vote for Hillary in order to prevent Obama from wrapping up the nomination early. You got it backwards...Hillary was the big threat at the time and Rush wanted folks to cross over and vote for Obama to beat her, thinking that the eventual GOP candidate would crush Obama if he won the Rat nomination.
As far as I'm concerned it's one of the biggest failures in Rush'a career as a Conservative opinion leader.

Hillary was losing at the time, and Rush was trying to bloody Obama before the general election.
