Romney’s silence may have ironically cost him the election.
Juan McRomney.
Mitt Romney’s number one concern was/is the LDSinc brand name. He cannot be a hardass because of the media blitz which would tranish the ‘and he’s a Mormon’ meme so badly that Slat Lake might not grow their numbers henceforth.

Too little too late. You had every opportunity during the debates. In the 3rd debate you did everything but endorse the sock puppet president. When will the GOP leadership learn to stop playing by the Marcus of Queensbury rules with these thugs that make up the left? Mitt was a classy guy and grew as a candidate during the election IMHO he had the makings of a first rate C in C. Problem is he wasn't up to the Chicago way.
Now we see our so-called leadership going through the usual game of blaming conservatives and conservatism for the defeat.
After another 4 years we'll be just another latin American banana republic. I don't see anyone fixing the mess OMugabe is creating.
Where is a Reagan when we need him!?
What voters cared about Libya? Hispanics? Young white females? Blacks? Blacks think “Libya” is a rap singer. THe only people who cares about it are older white males, who were voting for Romney anyway.
Where is a Reagan when we need him!?
**********
Given the selfishness, stupidity and greed of the American electorate, I don’t think Reagan could be elected today. Nor could one of the most admired Democrat presidents — John F. Kennedy.
That America no longer exists.
"I'm outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi," Romney said
Yet, he did nothing.
Trump's entourage called campaign headquarters constantly, eagerly passing along strategy ideas from their boss
Yet, no one tried to implement any of the ideas.
Orca was not killer
Yes, it was.
some aides taking cabs home late on the night of the election found the credit cards linked to the campaign had already stopped working.
That's been spun as a bad thing? Excuse me, but my boss never paid for my transportation to and from work. Those aides were stealing from the donation cookie jar. Makes you wonder if they also stole information for hussein?
I suspect there were a lot of moles in the Romney campaign. A good candidate doesn’t need advisers and consultants, Reagan didn’t, he knew instinctively what he needed to do without outside help.
Corruption rules.
I greatly preferred Romney to Obama. That said, we could NEVER have trusted him. In terms of Supreme Court nominees, I don’t think it makes much difference. Mitt would have nominated a lesbian to “reach across the aisle”.
With the newest revelations about Cantor knowing about the FBI investigations on Petreaus, I am beginning to think the Republican leadership knows quite a lot about what happened at Benghazi.
I am just speculating of course; but, if it is true, then the missing pieces of this puzzle are being held by a lot more people than we know.
Romney was being briefed. I think he was told things he couldn’t speak about or someone(s) told him to back off.
Something really smells here. We just don’t know from where this smell is coming. One thing is clear, Republican leadership knew about Petreaus in October. I am thinking some of them knew much earlier than that.
We are the great unwashed masses sitting out here in the hinterlands. We may never know the truth. The fix is in and our destinies aren’t our own.
If you think we aren’t expendable...look no further than what happened in Benghazi.
This is so true. Romney all but endorsed Obama’s foreign policy in debate #3 when he had every opportunity to rip Obama to shreds. You simply can’t run straight-laced Mormons against The Chicago Machine
Both McCain and Romney were way to sweet in debates. He could have buried him in two of the three - instead he complimented him.....strange thing to do with a debate.
Most people on FR were saying from the beginning that eventually McMitt would say. . .
” you have nothing to fear from an Obama presidency, he’s a fine littlle chappy”
The one issue that could have stopped Hussein was Benghazi and when called on, Romney chose to endorse the actions of the democrats
If I understand the gist of this correctly Romney thinks the mistake was to criticize 0coward and co. about Benghazi. Romney is still clueless. His PC instincts are exactly why he didn't win.
Just what we need, advice from a liberal British newspaper. Here’s my advice to the Guardian. ..!..
