Here's an interesting tidbit on Natalie...
Natalie Khawam, a lawyer and single mother, lives with them [Jill and Hubby], according to a bankruptcy petition she filed earlier this year.

Where’s Gloria Allred?

You can bet she's maniacally flipping through her digital rolodex and working the phones and emails to elbow her way into this conflagration.

Faced with employment lawsuit, Tampa lawyer Barry Cohen goes into attack mode

By Caitlin Johnston, Times Staff Writer
In Print: Tuesday, August 28, 2012

Earlier this summer, a former employee sued prominent Tampa lawyer Barry Cohen. Now he’s fighting back with everything from a motion to dismiss the case to accusations of perjury and bankruptcy fraud.

In July, Natalie Khawam and her attorney Wil Florin sued Cohen, his law firm and other defendants on six counts, including sexual harassment and breach of contract claims. Cohen owed her money, she said, and he also failed to properly take action when she reported a sexual harassment issue involving a financial officer doing work for the law firm.

(snip)

Since her filing, Cohen has delved into Khawam’s past: He’s uncovered court documents from a bankruptcy. He also unearthed a searing, 19-page child custody order from a Washington, D.C., superior court judge calling her out in 2011 for a lengthy “history of abusing the litigation process” and a “willingness to say anything, even under oath, to advance her own personal interests.”

In court documents, Cohen also claims that Khawam “fraudulently omitted Rolex watches, sable mink furs and a diamond ring” from a list of her assets in an April bankruptcy.

On top of that, Cohen has filed a motion for dismissal and requested sanctions against Khawam for a bad-faith filing.
All told, Cohen’s Aug. 13 motion and exhibits detailing many aspects of 37-year-old Khawam’s life weighs in at some 120 pages.

Hmmmm...interesting.need to find out where their political donations go.just instinct, but at this point, I trust Broadwell more than this gal. Something is strange about her going to the FBI over an alleged cat fight.

Former employee takes on prominent Tampa lawyer Barry Cohen

Cohen said the firm dealt with the issue immediately, hiring a retired FBI investigator, Bob Cromwell, to look into the allegations. Cromwell said in an interview he spent about two weeks interviewing employees, including Khawam.

Shortly after the investigation was completed, Cohen told Goldberg in a Dec. 2, 2009, letter that he was prohibited from returning or having “any further contact with any female employees.”

Khawam submitted her resignation that same day.

According to the complaint, Cohen brought Khawam on as an employee in May 2009 under the terms that she bring a high-profile client with her. As a result, the firm would pay Khawam a 30 percent commission on the value of case she had.

The more you read, the more it looks like one of those cases where someone cries rape, appears all beat up, and the cops find out she did it to herself. You know, G-d does work in so many mysterious ways.
Wonder if petraeus knew her background before he trusted her.

I thought she might have been pulled into this because of Broadwell’s jealousy, but it looks like Broadwell might have been right.

Doesn’t make sense otherwise for someone to lawyer up like this. She’s got something she’s afraid of. If she had an affair with the general, it makes sense to lawyer up even though normally it would have been a reason for a divorce lawyer, not these guys.

Last night I was somewhat willing to give Jill the benefit of the doubt (”the right thing to do” crap). My first impression has not changed. She is a trophy wife making the most of all of the perks that goes with the job.

Wiki says his treatments were at Walter Reed. Who knows if sought other opinions or treatments, especially since Moffitt, of which Kelley’s husband is affiliated, is in the vicinity.

wiki:

On April 23, 2008, Secretary of Defense Gates announced that President Bush was nominating General Petraeus to command U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM), headquartered in Tampa, Florida.

(snip)

General Petraeus was diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer in February 2009 and underwent two months of successful radiation treatment at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.[177] The diagnosis and treatment was not publicly disclosed until October 2009 because Petraeus and his family regarded his illness as a personal matter that did not interfere with the performance of his duties.[178]

She is a long-time Patreaus family friend.

Not another ‘rival’ for Broadwell.
