The states would be very well served, however, by making provisions to mint their own currency (even if it's not actually put into circulation).

Excellent point. This may be the solution at hand. The way the feds print money, our dollars won't be worth the paper they are printed on in the not too distant future.

A state can instantly give value to their currency by defining their own minimum wage (I've been suggesting for a while that as long as there's a minimum wage there's no need to back a currency with precious metals).

So, if the states were just ready to act quickly, with "currency" pre-staged for initial disbursal, then great human suffering could be avoided, and, in fact, greater prosperity might even be achieved in the absence of the great Federal Parasite.
