I think the GOP is trying to get rid of West because he is perceived to be looney by non-conservatives.
They’d rather have someone who gives more of an impression of being stable to appeal to the moderates.
The GOP hates West because he’s an uppity black man who doesn’t know his place. He would be in Boehner’s worst nightmare. No way West meekly accepts a dictate from Boehner to roll over on the tax and spending issues. I just wish Michelle Bachman would speak up and make it clear that she won’t back any Boehner deal with Obama.

exactly, the GOP wants their sheep, West , Sarah etc are not sheep and they can not be controlled just the same as Newt.
They want us voters like the Dem voters where we just get in line and follow blindly.
To think when Col West joined up he woudl never have thought most of his country and his party would have turned on him.
