Is Texas all that much different demographically than many of the blue states? We have our share of minorities, and yet Republicans do manage to win state-wide races....maybe the National GOP can learn a thing or two from how we do things in Texas.

Of course it is. Are you comparing the voting history of Texas to Michigan?

In Texas, with the exception of Austin, there are fewer dumb white liberals and more conservative Tejano-type hispanics. Therefore, for now, our state goes Republican.
