As President Barack Obama finalizes his second-term cabinet picks, the nation’s leading feminist group is pushing for more female appointments.
Currently, the president, who garnered 55 percent of the women’s vote on Election Day, has eight females in his 23-member cabinet. According the National Organization for Women, that number isn’t nearly high enough.
NOW president Terry O’Neill, in an interview with The Daily Caller, explained that she would like to see complete gender parity in Obama’s second-term cabinet.
“I think that if half of the cabinet were women and half of the Supreme Court and half of Congress were women, we would see a lot more policies for expanding education and health care and social services that allow communities to thrive,” O’Neill explained. “We’d see a lot less spending on military weapons systems, and we would also see a lot less of the most powerful, moneyed people not paying their fair share.”

As a woman I am always offended by the assertion that we are so much better than men.
It isn’t true. Women are just as flawed as men. Like it or not, we are not smarter, or more compassionate, or more moral. In fact, in many areas where society is struggling with immorality and the consequences, woman have led the decline.
Cabinet level jobs should go to the most quaified person, period.
Wonder if tax evader Al Sharpton brought this up in his tax-the-rich meeting with the president.

The GOP actually has FAR more women and minorities in positions of power and influence. The Dems throw a few in there for window dressing but all the decisions get made by white guys.

A very large percentage of the types who made up the original NOW were out and out Marxists. Like Betty Friedan. Some tried to hide their hard leftist inclinations from the media (who were more than willing to overlook their Marxist ties), and some made no bones about it. At the core of these nitwits is a profound lack of knowledge of basic economics and how wealth is created. And how freedom is protected.
I’m so tired of this old stale diatribe. Part of me has gotten to the point at which I think it might not be a bad idea for all men to just quit working. Let the feminists take care of everything. I’m sure everyone will be so happy and everything will be grand..
