A joint German-Israeli government meeting in Berlin on Thursday (6 December) is likely to be the scene of more disagreements between Chancellor Angela Merkel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the two traditional allies are having increased difficulty finding common ground.

The scene was set already on the eve of the meeting. Netanyahu told Die Welt about his “disappointment” at Germany’s decision last week to abstain instead of saying “No” to Palestine's status upgrade within the United Nations.

“I think Chancellor Merkel thought this vote would somehow promote peace. But the opposite has happened: Ever since the UN vote, the Palestinian Authority has made moves towards uniting with Hamas terrorists,” Netanyahu said. …

Israel’s allies are systematically selling out to evil. 0 being the biggest and most troubling one.

Seems Biblical to me.

Yes.

From 1500 until 1970, the English had fought with the French against the Germans, the GErmans against the French, the Germans against the Russians, the Russians against the French, fought with the Dutch, fought alongside the Dutch, fought with the US, fought alongside the USA, fought with the Spanish, been allies with the Spanish etc. etc.

In fact in 1914, English soldiers on the ships to france thought they were going to attack France :)

"...In fact in 1914, English soldiers on the ships to france thought they were going to attack France :) ..."

That's weird, but mostly correct! My maternal Grandfather, having emigrated to Canada in 1913, returned to England in 1915 to enter the war.

He told me that he didn't know if he was going to fight the 'Huns' or the 'Frogs', and that it didn't matter - he didn't like either of them!

His exploits in the war were memorable. Upon dis-embarking in France, he was pushed off the gangplank, broke his leg, and the same ship took him back to Old-Blighty.

He got a large medal for serving ..................................................... FRegards
