I call it institutionalized theft.
In the mail the other day, I got a request from some group, for a donation.
My answer to them (in their own postage envelope):
“America elected a President who said that I am rich and that I am NOT paying my share.
He will hire people to take my money from me FOR you.
If you need help, contact the people the President has hired to take money from me, on YOUR BEHALF!”
I’ll be responding like this for the next four years.

I used to think I had made it to middle class, but I have been informed I am merely among the higher end of the “working poor”.
All these years I thought those random individuals who told me I was stupid to the point of insane for working hard for a living, paying my taxes, and generally taking care of me and mine the best I could, were “ethically challenged”, and a cynical minority.
Turns out I was very, very wrong.
They are actually the majority.
There is not much I can do now, all my wages are already taxed before I get them. My child is now 18, so I can't start suddenly claiming poor single mother benefits, housing assistance, EBT etc.
I can't afford health insurance anymore and all the balls are dropping from my juggling act after the last four years.
Everywhere around me prices went up ... food, rent, gas, electricity, insurance, random government “fees”, everything except my paycheck.
SMARTY if you can afford to “go Gault”, please know you do so with my heartfelt blessings.
For the Peter Schiffs, and the ethical 2% ers of the USA, and of the world - please consider taking an extended vacation from “earning income”, again with my blessings.
I'm screwed.
My daughter and her age and ethical peers are screwed for at least the next ten, and probably the next twenty years.
Please don't prolong the agony!
