As a parent, a Beslan scenario is what terrorizes me.
Teachers should be armed.
I read an article in the last year (can’t remember where) on what really happened at Beslan. ‘Horrific’ doesn’t begin to describe what went on.

I agree. Also, any holder of a CCH, CHL, etc. should be able to carry on school grounds. The Israelis recruited parents and grandparents WITH GUNS to patrol schools in their North after the 1974 Ma'alot massacre. There hasn't been a school shooting since then. They had 29 dead out of a population of roughly 3.5 million - that'd be like us losing about 2500 people (i.e. roughly another 9/11).
I had a huge argument with the administrator of the local Jewish community center about his 30.06 sign (preventing CHLs from carrying inside under TX law) after a JCC was attacked in Seattle a few years back and, needless to say, he refused to change anything. I made sure that he knew that both the JCC and he personally were now the guarantors of my children's safety, and that if anything happened to them and I was unable to help them due to his reflexive anti-gun stance, that both would be sued and that I do my level best to get him charge with criminally negligent homocide.
I am SICK TO DEATH of hearing about murders in victim-disarmament zones - it is time to end them, and make for a less safe working environment for the assorted nuts in our society.
