This is an excellent point. Schools full of unarmed children and teachers ten or minutes away from the nearest police assistance are also sitting lambs vulnerable to the proverbial wolf. They need protectors ... thoughts anyone?
I have a daughter who is a freshman in a public high school. Also my husband’s parents live in a condo 6 miles away from the school in Newtown, Ct. (We don’t live near his parents.) We need to come up with solutions, just just the liberal tripe about more gun control.
Also Obama’s crocodile tears don’t impress me - his daughters have armed guards at their school!!
Here in the USA, if the Connecticut POS wouldn't have committed suicide, this is what would happen. After a trial that might happen 1 to 2 years after the crime was committed and take a month, the POS would probably get life in prison and endless appeals.
If the POS was sentenced to death, the POS would get endless appeals and probably die of old age or at the hands of another inmate.
A so-called mental health expert on Fox News this morning commented that there were always contributing factors in a mass murderer’s life that influenced their decisions. He went on to say that Lanza’s mother collected guns “which is a rather odd thing for a woman to do.”
Oh really! Typical Liberal hogwash! Now we know it was all Mom’s fault, right? Poor boy! If only Mom had been more “normal” and collected thimbles; this wouldn’t have happened.
Well, I’m female and have a very nice gun collection. Anyone who invades my home and threatens my family will have about a nano-second to think about how “odd” I am before I blow their head off.
Yes, we are in for a fight with the clueless Left who wants to disarm everyone except the government. The wisdom of our founding fathers is beyond their warped intellects to grasp but they must not win. Why does the average citizen need assault weapons? Because now the government, not to mention the criminals have them. Therefore, so must we have free access also. Those who wish to rely on the run and hide tactic of self defense shouldn’t be allowed to force their views on others and vice-versa. But when it comes to our homes and especially our children that’s not good enough. Why would our schools not be guarded with the same measures as our armoured money transports? The treasures inside them are worth more than any money or gold.
In CT you need a pistol permit to purchase a hand gun IIRC. His brother lived in NJ and presumably didn’t have a CT Permit.
Let’s see:
Murder is illegal.
Bringing firearms on school grounds is illegal.
Stealing firearms is illegal.
He was under 21 and possessed a hand gun w/o a permit in CT which is illegal.
The Brady Bunch says CT has the 4th of 5th strictest gun laws in the US.
There’s another difference. In China, they have gun control, so the head cases use knives instead.
