It is sad. They are trying to make a point about abortion and get a lot of attention, but they need to remind themselves of the Biblical passages that exhort Christians to comport themselves well at all times.
Bothering people in mourning is not good conduct according to a Biblical standard.
There are many other dramatic things that Christians could erroneously do to attract attention that would be in poor taste: doing antics in poor taste is never the thing to do.
If one wants to do something dramatic that does reflect well on the faith, as in, something that shows dignity and respect, but firm resolution, that’s a good direction in which to place one’s efforts.
In fact, what should happen... a very small group of very conservative Reformed Christian leaders should speak to these folks privately and offer their counsel to them on correcting their mistakes.
What would really also help is for a lot of congregations across the country to mention these people in their services and pray that the Holy Spirit will move these people to see the error of their ways and repent. Perfect time to also pray regarding the stopping of the practice of abortion. Perhaps the foxsnews would run a story on that if it caught on.
IMHO.
They're not Christians and they're not trying to make a point about abortion. The cowards of Westboro Baptist are Democratic lawyers and operatives. Founder Fred Phelps even ran for office -- as a DEMOCRAT. They are all big fans of Al Gore too.
Look it up.
Actually, no. It is the mainstreaming of homosexuality that is their so-called "point."
But that is just a whipping-boy for their main point, which is extorting money from the people who try to harm them when they level outrage against grieving citizens. They're just a good Democrat fund-raising family, working the system.
