Well she should have kept her personal arsenal away from her unstable son at least. She and 26 others would be alive today if she had (or at least until he turned 21 and could buy a gun for himself).

AFAIK, at 18 you can buy a long rifle. That was the main weapon used; or so I heard on the radio last night at 2 a.m.

Articles circulating today are saying she took him to shooting ranges and taught him how to shoot.

We still don’t know exactly what his mental issues were, but certainly Mrs. Lanza is not coming off as the brightest bulb here.

Still doing my best to give her the benefit of the doubt.
She is not able to explain her story - to defend herself.

We do know he was very intelligent.
She may have had everything locked up - but he was a 20 year old adult and perfectly capable of searching around for keys.
