Because it was an opportunity to signal to former-Coulter fans such as I was, and to other FReepers, how my thoughts had changed on the subject and I wanted to respond to some replies posted to me on this thread.

Do not believe that beginning a forum thread on FR or posting a civil comment constitutes ownership of the thread or is against the site rules, written or implied. Surely you can understand that point of view, as a conservative FReeper.
