But a Gallup poll released Wednesday found that more Americans think banning assault and semi-automatic guns wouldn’t be as effective at preventing school shootings compared with alternatives — such as increasing the government’s mental health spending and adding police presence at schools.

Pew notes that public opinion for gun control legislation remains significantly lower than before Obama took office.

I don't give a flying crap about their polls.

All we need is 3%.

Non-stop media pounding and misinformation following the Newtown tragedy - all the Bay Area rags have been hammering the ‘we need to do something now’ meme for a week - and this is as good as they can come up with?
Wait another month when the public is no longer grieving over the loss and any pro gun control sentiment will have evaporated

what if the pro gun control sentiment dosen’t evaporate??

If you believe what you wrote, then you should be selling now so that you can buy at bargain prices when things calm down.

I bought some items prior to this latest massacre because I wanted to keep the pressure up on the anti-gunners. It's important for them to know that confiscating guns from Americans will be an impossible, death-defying act.

I bought several other items just this week knowing that they are the most likely items to be completely unavailable for the next six months or so.

We certainly live in interesting times.

Well, I'm not in it for the money. It pains me to see this world that is special to me as a hobbyist and collector being overtaken by yesterdays baseball card traders, only in it to make a quick buck at the expense of everyone else.

I'm 44 years old and I've never sold a gun, only bought them... with the exception of a couple that my dad took a liking to and I gave them to him.
