At the risk of stating the obvious, Boehner is not a leader. He’s just your garden variety politician.
He is tentative, equivocates and engages in the self-feating tactic of publically negotiating with himself. He needs to be replaced by someone capable of taking a consistent and principled stand, driving the narrative, and energizing his troops. He simply lacks the qualities necessary to lead at this crucial time in our history.
A strong leader would be a wonderful contrast to the weak, mendacious and indecisive Obama. Such a leader would significantly help the Republican brand, such as it is.

And he certainly in NOT a negotiator - he has no clue. He is negotiating with himself for crying out loud. Anyone that has negotiated anything knows this is folly - everyone in their life has negotiated a car salesman in their life.
I knew we were in deep trouble back in his first negotiation for the CR in 2011, then followed by the debt ceiling deal. White Hut trespasser is playing this time to DESTROY THE GOP, AND IMHO I BELIEVE HE WILL SUCCEED.

All you wrote is correct. It’s why the Democrats insured Boehner was re-elected to the House.
